Mill The Base and Lid

60 minutes

First cut will give you your base and lid. This will be the longest cut. We used an 1/8th" ball nose so the texture of the tool path would remain on the underside of the lid and the circles, which will be your playing surface.

X|O Symbols on Lid

15 minutes

Second cut we used a 1/16th" square end mill to keep the X and O clean. For this cut you need to flip the lid over from the previous cut and position it in the corner of your machine to get it centered.

Accent Inlay for Playing Surface

20 minutes

The last piece is the accent inlay. We used the 1/8th in tortoise shell acrylic to contrast the white corian. The bit was the same 1/16th" as the X and O cut.

Insert Inlay and Play

5 minutes

Final step in to press fit or glue the accent inlay onto the playing board. Once that is complete, find some quarters and play… or create your own pieces to play with
