The original build was made using a router table and i have modified it so you can cut the parts out in Easel.com, just follow the video for assembly.

Hi Michel i used about 12 pieces but it will depend on the thickness of the wood and size of the laptop.

Awesome design. Carved all the pieces and then glued them together to make the stand. Figure I would explain it to the ones who didn't get it.

Very nice piece but I notice this was not made using x-carve which they are using to promote their project. Would like to know if and how long it would take x-carve to produce the dozen or so pieces to be glued together.

To cut 12 pieces at 1200mm/min and 1mm DOC will take close to 12 hours. Using 19mm stock.

One thing I did was add 3 holes for alignment dowels and carved with a 1/4 inch bit .Then i speed up the machine to carve 2 out of a piece i can get 2 pieces in about 30 minutes

i really like your design i found that the time it takes is undeniably overwhelming, I have modified the design to 12 minutes with an 1/8 inch downcut bit running at 30 ipm. also adding the dowel holes for alignment while gluing
