Thickness: 1/4 - don't use, Plies: 3 - don't use, Dimensions: 8 in × 12 - don't use

Cut wheel halves

16 minutes

Cut out the wheel halves on the x-carve using the digital design file.

insert the balast

4 minutes

cut two 4.3 in. lengths of eighth inch dia. 50/50 solder and insert one each into the grooves in the wheel halves. Glue the halves together.

make the shaft

5 minutes

cut a ten inch length of quarter inch dowel. taper one end by spinning it against a sander. Screw a threaded hook into the other end. If you can’t find a tiny hook, you can make one by opening an eyelet with pliers.

Insert the shaft

1 minute

Insert the shaft in the wheel leaving the hooked end protruding approximately two and a quarter inches from the wheel.

finishing

5 minutes

Rub with boiled linseed oil. Let dry over night.

Spin

220 minutes
