1

1/8'' thick layer of hard surface

I choose 1/8’’ thick acrylic piece because its a lightweight material that is thin enough to carry in luggage and thick enough to give the mouse pad a structural form without breaking but you can use any piece of acrylic for this project.

The material will not be visible, it will be in the middle of suction cup tape, foam, and cork fabric. The edges will be the only thing visible and will make a great accent to the finished piece.

Adding the materials

Make a few quick cuts to the foam, suction cup tape, and cork fabric by taking the straight edges of your acrylic, add lines to the undersides and make the cut with some scissors that can cut all those soft materials.

To Adhere
1st: Add a few thin curved lines of industrial strength glue to the acrylic and gently place your foam on top.

2nd: Add a few thin curved lines of industrial strength glue to the cork fabric and gently place on top of the foam.

3rd: The suction cup tape is already adhesive so I only had to peal off the paper and add it to the other side of acrylic.
