General Information

A simple coaster for my desk with scrap 1/4" corian, 1/8" walnut and 1/16" cork (for a non-slip base). It’s not a marvel of design, but it’s nice enough. If you make these, I’d love to see what you make. If you make these to sell, all I ask is you link back to my project to credit my design.

Cut out pieces & glue party...

60 minutes

This is a pretty straightforward project. You can find more information over on my tumblr about this project: https://fredhousel.tumblr.com/post/187165690515/corian-walnut-coaster

Simply cut the corian pieces, carefully cut the 1/8" walnut into 1/8" square strips, cut the strips to length, then assemble with CA glue.

The total size of the coaster is 3.75" in diameter. Optionally, you can cut a 3.5" diameter circle of 1/6" cork and glue to the bottom for a non-slip surface.

If you make these, I’d love to see your work. If you make these to sell, all I ask is you link back to this project to credit the design.
