Secure and carve workpiece

45 minutes

I used the glue and tape method to secure the work piece to the spoil board. This is a simple two bit carve and you can do the V-bit first or second, it really shouldn’t make any difference. Sand the finished carve and finish with your favorite clear finish. I use Polycrylic spray because that is what I had available. After two coats of clear, I used a paper towel to rub black acrylic paint in the lettering. Two more coats of clear after the black acrylic left a satiny clear and smooth finish.
