Getting started

10 minutes

Using 3/4″ × 5″ × 20″ material use the following:

Open Easel to the project & select your speed / material type
http://easel.inventables.com/projects/FnKq9LPlFz0HVlgwR_pqpQ
Birtch (40ipm)
Maple (30ipm)

If these options don’t work for you and your experience, please contact me for SVG files.
In a week this message will be down and I’ll have an SVG available.

  • When changing bits, DO NOT TURN OFF THE CNC **
~ It locks the stepper motors and so home position will be the same ~

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Finishing

Once it’s cut, using a thick folded sandpaper, clean the v-carve lines and pain with black acrylic or your own custom method.
Sand and finish with food grade finish

Final touch for the owner.

1 minute

Make a 45 degree miter cut on the end for the grill, the thin end will shape to the grill on first few uses.

I used a 1/4" Forsner Bit for the strap hole, but you can use a regular bit or whatever works.

In order to get the scraper to your grill, turn on your BBQ at high tempurature until as hot as possible, then clean grill with it. The wood will give on the thin parts leaving a custom impression!
