A dust-collecting system for the X-Carve fitted with a Dewalt 611 spindle. It’s cut from 1/4" MDF. The ring can be cut from 1/2" MDF if desired. It is then glued onto the main platform.
Is your mount attached to the system a piece of metal screwed into it? Is that also a magnet that holds the system?

There are 2 magnets glued (epoxy) to the X-Carriage. The yellow circle shows the magnet on the left side. Metal angle brackets are fixed to the vacuum assembly with screws (see them below yellow circle). The whole assembly slides up and down on the magnets for height adjustment.
